Module Description:
Ultrasound exams of the shoulders can be difficult to perform due to the anatomy of the human body and the long learning curve required to achieve a satisfactory examination. However it is important to understand how to perform this exam as the demand is growing every day. Plus, shoulder ultrasound is an inexpensive and relatively painless procedure to perform to analyze issues with rotator cuffs and surrounding anatomy. Complete this self-learning to learn how to take a step-by-step approach to proper scanning techniques of the shoulder.

Audience: Sonographers and those that want to learn about Shoulder Ultrasound

Speaker: Amy Lex, MS,RT (R), RDMS is the National Luminary Manager for General Imaging and Women’s Healthcare for Philips Ultrasound. She has a strong clinical background in sonography and radiology and has been involved in clinical education and imaging for more than twenty five years. Amy holds an MS in Health Occupations Education and an undergraduate BS in Radiologic Sciences; is a registered sonographer in breast, ob/gyn and abdomen; and is also a registered radiographer. Amy is passionate about musculoskeletal ultrasound and has lectured nationally and internationally to clinical audiences including physicians, technicians and sonographers on the topic.
