Module: Patient-Ventilator Synchrony wtih NIV-What, Why, and How to deal with it?

Module Description:
Patient-ventilator asynchrony occurs commonly during noninvasive mechanical ventilation and interferes with effective delivery as well as safety. You will be able to determine which key strategies will help avoid asynchrony and provide successful noninvasive ventilation for your patients.

About the author: Edwina is the Sr. Clinical Education Manager at Philips Healthcare, where she provides clinical expertise in the development of educational programs for the Hospital Respiratory Care. Previously held positions supporting marketing programs and sales support in the Mother & Child Care business driving educational programs for the neonatal care environment in respiratory and developmental care. Before joining Philips, Edwina held a clinical role as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, where she practiced in both hospital and homecare settings, caring for all patient populations. Over the years, Edwina has been a primary clinical instructor, Co-Chair for various educational conference committees, as well as awarded many sales accolades for top performance.

Attention: Florida RT’s

As of Aug. 31, 2017, the Philips Online Learning Center will no longer offer Florida DOH approved courses. Philips continues to offer ASRT approved, Category A and Category A+ courses for CE credit. Please submit your ASRT approved CE certificates with your online renewal during your renewal period. 

Bulk CEU Sales Discontinued

As of April 1, 2017, the Philips Online Learning Center will no longer offer Online Education Accounts for the advance purchase of bulk continuing education units (CEUs).  We will, however, continue to offer CEUs with the purchase of individual courses.

If you have an Online Learning Account purchased prior to April 1st with a balance of CEUs remaining, you may continue to use the account to obtain continuing education from the Philips Online Learning Center.
