Course: Ultrasound Product Training - CE Credit

Module: Performing an Abdomen and or Retroperitoneum Ultrasound Exam

Module Description:
This course will provide an overview of the basics of the performance of an Abdominal and or Retroperitoneum ultrasound exam. Topics covered include a review of the organs, anatomy, views and measurements required for a complete ultrasound examination.


This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete. There are no prerequisites for this course.


This activity may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. ARRT regulations state that an individual may not repeat a self-learning activity for credit if it was reported in the same or any subsequent biennium.

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:
• Review the basic anatomy of the liver, the major hepatic veins and perhepatic vessels
• Identify the minimum required anatomy to be included in this exam
• Identify the minimum required views associated with this exam
• Recognize the minimum required measurements associated in performing this exam
