Course:
College of Radiographers CPD Endorsed - General, Computed Tomography, Nuclear Medicine/PET
Module:
CT Applications, Instrumentation, and Workflow
Module Description:
This course details the functions of various computed tomography scan parameters and reviews their clinical applications. In addition, this course will introduce the technologist to hybrid PET/CT technology and compare fusion and diagnostic computed tomography. The course also describes procedural applications to performing basic computed tomography scans including patient preparation, radiation safety, optimizing contrast enhancement and timing, and suggestions on how to increase workflow efficiency. There are no prerequisites for this course.
